Skaneateles is the Eastern Gateway to the Finger Lakes.

The name is derived from the Iroquois term for the adjacent Skaneateles Lake, which means "long lake." Skaneateles is just a short drive southwest of Syracuse and southeast of Rochester. and once you arrive, you may just want to stay!
